We, the members of Grace & Truth Fellowship UK, hold to the apostolic doctrines of the Christian faith as revealed in Holy Scripture.
Our purpose is to worship God, proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, nurture believers in truth, and fulfill the Great Commission with faithfulness and humility.
I. The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and
authoritative Word of God. It is the ultimate rule of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21). We accept
the Scriptures as the final and sufficient revelation from God, without error in the original manuscripts.
II. The Triune God
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These persons are co-equal,
co-eternal, and consubstantial, sharing the same divine essence (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). God is the
Creator of all things, sovereign over history, and worthy of our worship and obedience.
III. The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully divine and fully human, conceived by the Holy Spirit and
born of the Virgin Mary (Luke 1:26-35). He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and taught the truth of God’s
kingdom. Jesus’ atoning death on the cross was substitutionary, expiating sin for His people (Isaiah 53:4-6; 1 Peter
2:24). His bodily resurrection, ascension, and future return are central to our hope.
IV. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, who works sovereignly in creation, conviction, regeneration, sanctification, and
preservation of believers (John 3:5-8; Titus 3:5). The Spirit convicts the world of sin, guides believers into truth, baptizes
and seals believers into the body of Christ upon conversion, and empowers the church for service.
V. Humanity and Sin
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, but through Adam’s sin, all people inherit a sinful nature and
are under divine condemnation (Romans 5:12-19). Human beings are unable to save themselves and are in need of
God’s grace.
VI. Salvation
We believe that salvation is a sovereign act of God’s grace, initiated by His electing love and secured solely by the work
of Christ (Ephesians 1:4-7). It is received through faith alone, a gift from God, and involves repentance and trust in
Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Salvation results in regeneration, justification, sanctification, and ultimate glorification.
VII. The Church
We believe that the Church is the spiritual body of Christ, composed of all true believers, called to worship, edify, and
evangelize. The Church is organized locally through congregations, and its ordinances include baptism and the Lord’s
Supper, which are symbols of grace and faith (Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
VIII. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
Baptism: We practice believer’s baptism by immersion, as a public profession of faith and identification with Christ’s
death and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4; Matthew 28:19).
The Lord’s Supper: We observe the Lord’s Supper as a memorial of Christ’s atoning sacrifice, a spiritual communion
with Him, and a proclamation of His coming again (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
IX. The Return of Christ and Final Judgment
We believe in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead (Acts 1:11;
Revelation 22:20). The righteous will enjoy eternal life with God, while the unrighteous will face eternal separation from
Him.
X. The Final State
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people: believers to eternal life, sharing in God’s glory; unbelievers to eternal
punishment, separated from God’s presence (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15).
XI. The Authority and Sufficiency of Scripture
We believe that Scripture alone is the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and conduct, sufficient for salvation,
sanctification, and godly living (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:105).
In all that we do, we seek to honor God, proclaim His truth, and live in obedience to His Word. We affirm our
commitment to the doctrines of grace, the sovereignty of God, the authority of Scripture, and the importance of the local
church as God’s ordained instrument for His glory.
We recognize that all true believers can have differences of opinion on secondary issues and remain in fellowship and
partnership for the glory of God and the furtherance of His kingdom through the gospel message
